Temple ISD is grateful for the sacrifice and service of our military families. We recognize the unique challenges you face when relocating your families and are here to partner with you in providing your student with the tools they need. Thornton Elementary School Military Liaison
The school liaison is responsible for training a group of student ambassadors to welcome military-connected students. These ambassadors provide campus tours, offer peer support, and help new students transition smoothly into the school community. The school liaison also helps families acclimate to the school and surrounding community by providing resources and planning events with the Adopt-A-School Unit from Fort Hood throughout the school year.

Temple ISD offers prekindergarten at Meridith-Dunbar Early Childhood Academy for our military families. You can go to enrollment to register your pre-kindergarten student.
