“Pennies for Patients” begin collecting change for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Parents,
One of the Character Traits we have been discussing in guidance lessons is Compassion. Not only do we want to define it for students, we want to give them a chance to see what it looks like. For two weeks in February, we will partner with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in their “Pennies for Patients” Change Drive. Your student will be bringing home an individual collection box to fill with any loose change (or even bills) that might go toward this worthy cause. When they bring the change back to school, it will be collected in a class change carrier. At the end of each week, we will tally each class’s collection. The class with the highest amount collected at the end will receive a pasta party from Olive Garden. This drive starts Monday, February 4 and ends Friday, February 15. Thank you for coming alongside us as we give children the opportunity show compassion and help others in need.
