Home

My name is Jane Hunt, and I am a native Hoosier. I moved to Temple, with my husband of 30 years, in 1993 to start a door factory. I am the mother of 3 grown sons who all graduated from TISD (Go Wildcats) and grandmother to 2 adorable girls who are Cater Cougars. We are definitely a Wildcat, A&M, TSTC family!

I am an American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) certified Speech Pathologist. I have been a Speech Pathologist for 31 years. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts and my Master of Arts degrees from Ball State University in Muncie, IN (David Letterman’s alma mater).

I chose working in the school versus the hospital because I love working with children (and my summers off) J. I get such gratification helping to mold young minds and improving children’s communication skills. In the world of cell phones and social media, our children’s oral communication skills suffer without even realizing it.

My favorite things to do are Jazzercise, boating with my family, and spend time with good friends.

I work at both Thornton Elementary and Cater Elementary schools. I am at Cater on Mondays and Wednesdays, and Thornton on Tuesdays, Wednesday afternoons, and Thursdays. Fridays are reserved for staff meetings at Freeman Heights, assessments and make up therapy at both campuses. You may contact me at 215-6878 or [email protected]
